Our weekend off trail adventures had us craving some additional mileage, so we popped over to quartz trail in the Mcdowells to get in some exercise. I prefer parking at the golf course and linking up with quartz trail, as it tends to be less peopley. I’d never made it all the way to the end of quartz trail, so I was happy to achieve that today! I’d read about it ending at a vertical wall, but that wall was a very easy scramble and provided better views from the top. After having a snack, we moved at a brisk pace on the way back. Very nice to get outside and maybe saw 8 people total throughout the 9 miles. Also, it felt really nice to be on an actual trail today!
