| no partners | | First time to the Williamson Valley TH, I was surprised how busy it was. It's nice to get a different view of Granite Mountain. I didn't look into this trail at all before I went, it started out extremely busy but they seemed to be heading a different direction. There was immediately a creek crossing, which was a bit of a surprise, it was no issue staying dry. This trail will take you right along the boundary of the Granite Mountain Wilderness, which I hope to take on all in one go some day. Today I just wanted to get a few miles in and see some new ground though. This ended up being a really nice trail, with good terrain, interesting rock outcroppings and views of Granite mountain. There's no trouble following the trail, though there are a few places you can take a wrong turn and it looks like you'll just end up at somebody's house, obviously take the other route. |
