| no partners | | With recent snow and rain, I was surprised to find Badger Mountain Trail pretty dry, there was some mud, but it wasn't soft or slippery. This hike was full of minor surprises, we hardly saw anybody on the trail even though it was a perfect day, around 60 degrees and almost no wind, and it was a beautiful hike! This was part of the circle trail I wasn't looking forward to because I had a baseless opinion that this was a boring trail. It definitely isn't at the top of my list, but it offered terrific views, nice terrain, without being boring. Because of the threat of mud we did an out and back instead of our usual shuttle plan, unfortunately, I think this left Stephanie missing a one mile section of the Ranch Trail #62 undone. The Ranch Trail is one of my favorites, so I don't mind doing that over again. This project is going a little slow, hopefully with Spring and Summer fast approaching, we'll crank through it a little faster. |
