Past Ruby Mining town about a mile then down California Gulch road.
The road is a little rough this time of year but passable by a 2wd.
California Gulch is not car friendly and there are sporadic 4wd place on side roads.
Took the road to the left across the first tank by the road.
It was empty and someone was camping on the other side.

On the road at 7:00 am and on foot by 8:30ish.
Mostly a road hike. Picked up a few minerals along the way.
Lots of deer and rabbits.
There are some mines along the way that have formidable cages over them with signs about bats.
Perfect day for a nap in the sun hence the long break.
Brought back a few minerals and crystals from some tailings.
Back to Rico Rico for some crisp super thin crust pizza at Hendricks. |
