| no partners | | | Visited a wonderful ruin today, spotted by the Google Earth master prodigy, Eric. Tough Jeep road led to an easy hike to access this practically unknown fortified pueblo. Spectacular. Small ruin, big walls – 4’- 6’ tall. Had to scoot up a 25’ crack to reach the top. Amazing view, cultivated agaves, and a smattering of rock art. The site has been visited before, but the evidence I saw may have been from 50 years ago – or more. Someone had scratched his initials in a rock + two very old cans. Also, some really interesting geology in the area. |
