| no partners | | I had a short time window and had been wanting to search an additional route to the Rim.
I'd been to the top via the old Boy Scout tagged Wise Trail. There are still sporadic red aluminum tags the majority of the route. There are just a few areas when you need to negotiate the manzanita. There was just a bit of snow hanging on from the 12" received the previous weekend.
I made my way to the south to check out the ridge I wanted to try going down. A few cairns at the top gave me the feel that there was a route to get to the Bearfoot Trail. It was steep and loose in spots, but it all worked out. |
