| no partners | | Joe asked for credit, if I did this hike.
I drew this one up, taking advantage of known routes and with interest of checking out some new areas.
39 degrees to start, up Pine Canyon #26 and the Switchbacks to warm up. Up top it got cooler and the wind was whipping. I combined some grown over FR's, side canyons and the General Crook Trail to make my way past Baker Lake. A bit more off trail and then hopped over SR87 to check out the lightly flowing Huffer Spring.
I continued north toward Pivot Rock following old FR's when I could. I kicked up of 20+ elk at one point, including at least 2 bulls, and watched them noisily gain the next ridge line.
At Pivot Rock Spring, I took a break for lunch.
The hike back was either on existing trails or short off trail jaunts.
Good times, great weather (albeit windy), with few people seen all day
OK Joe, here is your credit.
