There was a couple in an RV towards the end of the road and they let us know that there was an arch over across the way. We set up camp and then headed over into this beautiful area. There were such interesting rock formations and striations all over, so I was fascinated.
It wasn’t too far of a walk until you were at the base of the {climb up to the} arch. Now it’s a ton of sandstone there so climbing up a super steep hill is not easy. James made it up there while I enjoyed my truly and watched him climb. He said it was pretty sketchy so I was happy with my decision. I decided to meander to a different set of rock formations and check out a smaller cave I saw. We both got into this cave and it was cool! We headed back to camp to watch sunset and eat dinner. It was a perfect afternoon add on!
Oh, P.S. I named it Emily’s arch after the woman in the RV who told us about it. She has taken people on tours there, and the name stuck. |
