| partners | | Saw a canyon that looked cool while driving by, so decided to go check it out! It was clearly more of a rappelling type canyon with zero clear {safe} routes for me to drop down. James got down there but had a good amount of difficulty with sliding down, hand holds breaking off and lots of rocks sliding/falling. (do not attempt this unless you are an expert hiker and go one at a time due to rock sliding).
I opted for a rim viewpoints style hike. There was a faint path around to the right of the canyon and there were multiple viewpoints to check out along the way. I saw the spot of the first rappel and what looked like it would be an epic waterfall when flowing. I walked far enough to see the majority of the canyon below and then returned via the same route. Would be a cute quick hike along this Ridgeline for a sunset viewing! |
