| no partners | | After a fruitless exploration of what I believed was the elusive "Hell's Hole Trail", I wanted to hike something, as it was getting late. Since I was in the area, I chose C.P. Flat loop again. A fine choice. There was no one camped or otherwise in the entire area. I went clockwise this time, and arrived at the overlook just in time to watch the sunset. Afterwards, it was a pleasant walk back to my truck at dusk, with a bright moon shining over Grandview Peak. Temperature check at dusk: 50 degrees. Saw 3 skunks and a large owl in the road on the way home. |
