We parked in the Overton lot and went CW. At the Overton and Go John junction I turned left and turned around at the point the Maricopa Trail leaves the trail at a step over. More people than we usually see as we had a late 9:45 start as we waited for it to warm up. Yeah....most wildflowers we’ve seen, but still isolated and small. The poppy’s were about 3 inches tall! Took a few pics to post.

Kai update. He has partial ACL tear that they won’t operate on. No jumping, throwing toys to avoid quick starts. Have a ramp so he no longer has to jump in and out of SUV. Tuesday he had a non cancerous fatty tumor removed that was about the size of a softball. Gnarly looking incision. 10-14 days of light activity.

Brittlebush, poppy, fairy duster, lupine all very limited and smaller than normal.
