Light flow in the creek the whole way. Most of the flow is still frozen so warm days will result in more runoff later. Higher up the snow bent the trailside flora across the track making it difficult to progress, and certainly not without getting all snowy. Spikes and poles from 4800 and up, but flotation not needed. Some bare ground visible in the lower mile on the way back down after some breaks of sun during the day.
Spent half an hour talking to Jon strategizing photo ops. Another half hour helping a guy permanently camping near the road get his 20 year old Cummins diesel running so he could get to a doctor's appointment.
All in all, would do again. |
