| partners | | Good day of snowshoeing around Willow Springs Lake. Still plenty of snow to make it shoe worthy with parts of the lake frozen. The parking areas had not been plowed so we had to make due with a small spot but it worked out. We hooked into the lake shore fairly quickly and then followed it more or less to the boat dock area. Bluebird day with very little wind so it was a bit warm while snowshoeing but cooled off once we stopped.
Took first break at a cabana near the boat dock area. Took on some snacks before Chumley, John and Kathy continued on to check out the dam and spillway. I stayed behind having gone far enough and went out onto the boat dock to enjoy and extended break.
After about 40 minutes I headed back the same direction towards the vehicle. Met back up with the others to finish out the day. Beautiful weather on the snowy rim!! |
