| no partners | | Started from Apache Wash Trailhead around 2pm and 68 degrees. Couldn’t be any better temps under blue sky with high wispy clouds. It was fairly busy but with the ideal hiking conditions that didn’t seem to be an issue.
In search of wildflowers was the goal. Took my time checking out every bloom along the way. Of course on the backside furthest from the trailhead there were very few people so that was nice. The usual wildflower suspects on the loop were impressive but it was a little past prime. However, the lush green was great to see….I can’t remember this much green in Sonoran North Preserve.
Finishing up the loop it was the longest post knee rehab hike yet. It’s slow progress but nice just to be out on trail in ideal hiking conditions |
