Started from the Horse Trap TH and hiked in a CCW direction. Saw a couple horses not far from the parking grazing in a open area, then crossed paths with three elk. Took a slightly different route over to Willow Springs Canyon where we made our drop down. Not bad but it was slow going traversing down the drainage to the canyon. Once on the bike trail we decided to hike out to the point to enjoy our lunch to take in the views. Closed out the loop on the bike trail, connecting with the General trail, back to the TH. Great yearly hike.
