Denny and I got to Peralta about 0845 and ran into @rayhuston , who was volunteering at the trailhead. Chatted with Ray for a few minutes in the cold breeze then we got started on Bluff Springs Trail. We to the Peralta rock, then backtracked and went down Lower Barks. Plenty of water, but nothing impeding progress. Some catclaw, which Denny attacked with clippers. A few amount of grass in places, which made footing somewhat difficult, but nothing terrible. Easy hike out on Dutchman. Fun day and conversation, and always great to hike with Denny.
