| no partners | | Needed a decent hike with the dog. Got started and immediately noticed lots of new trail signage. Once they’re done, there will be some updates to match how the trails are now marked. Of course, they’ve closed off far more than was added and nothing is really new. Just busywork for some city employee to justify their existence.
Headed up the finally official Prospector Loop (Lost Mine/Eliminator and Lost Ranch Mine/Mine Drop) going counter-clockwise. At the top of the loop, we detoured over to 2484, then back down, following the official route. Plenty of flowers and bees.
Not many hikers until I was getting back near the trailhead. Passed one guy with a very aggressive dog, that thing should have been muzzled, better yet not even on a trail. Right after that, crossed paths with Kelly and Fletch, chatting with them for a few minutes. Harlow wouldn’t let them pet her, we’ve worked so hard on her stepping off to the side of the trail and not bothering hikers, that she’s kind of aloof when anyone wants to pet her. Oh well, I guess that’s better than a dog that harasses hikers, |
