On Sunday, Marilyn, Nick, and I hiked the Barks Lower Canyon Loop. The route is to take Bluff Springs #235 and then turn south at the first intersection with Barks Canyon. Dutchman Trail #104 is used to return to the trailhead.

Barks Canyon still had a decent amount of flowing water. We hiked through water, but also did some rock hopping as well as the occasional down-climb. The deepest water that I hiked through came to mid-thigh, though it would have been easy to take other paths which would have been deeper. There were a few pools which would have been swimmers had we gone that way. For the most part, route finding was easy. We mostly stayed in the channel of flowing water, but occasionally had to get out to avoid some of the really deep pools.

We all had a lot of fun on this hike.
