Wanyed a hike Celina had not done before but would still be okay in the rain. Headed up Dixie Mine Trail, then up Thompson Peak Rd. Cool and cloudy all the way up, but it started raining while we were at the summit. Chatted with two sheriffs deputies for a while, one of whom was adorable and almost managed to get my phone number, lol. After they left, Celina and I carefully made our way down the rain soaked road. Slippery concrete in several
places, and of course the rain stopped as soon as we were back on the dirt. Easy hike after that. Saw one mule deer, and only four other hikers.

Wildflowers Observation Moderate
Not as colorful as other areas around the Valley, but still a nice showing.
