Wally, Preston and I had talked about putting the LOST trail segments together and hiking from the old tunnel to Picketpost trailhead. Today was the day. We dropped a car off at Picketpost and drove to the old tunnel and began from there. Great temps and overcast albeit windy at the tunnel.
Wally led while Preston told us about the history of the area with old photos. Very cool. Pinal City sounds like it was an interesting place.
Of course Wally found some pot sherds! LoL
Each section was unique in its own way !
Nice amount of water in Arnett among the cottonwoods with flowers here and there!
Trails were in good shape with a half a dozen creek crossings. Preston treated us to burgers at Porters Saloon to finish off the outing. Thank you!!
A very fun outing! Thanks to Preston and Wally for making it happen. Like HAZ, they rock!!
