| no partners | | | We hadn't visited the mine for some time and wanted to try a different route that we thought might be shorter and wondered if it would be a more attractive route. It was road walking, like our previous 3 mile walk back to the mine on the mining road that was in very good condition. But, this road was quite steep and rough making it passable by ATV, but that would be the only vehicle to negotiate this forest service road. Coming up from the Silver King mine via Stoneman grade is my favorite route to the site, but not sure who to contact to come in from that private site. Such an 'out of place' landmark that is so unexpected. |

Lots of flowers dotted the mountainside as we hiked and traveled on the road to the site. |
