This beautiful hike is always electrifying. We began the hike at the parking area where we have a 1 1/2 mile hike to the trailhead. Perfect water level in the creek now, so we could rock hop areas that required crossing the creek (I counted 28 creek crossings). We met a hiking group from Gold Canyon who had begun their hike off the road above the cabin area. With ten in the group, they shared that they had left a vehicle where our car was parked at the spot they would end their hike. Seeing snow and walking through it in some areas made the hike different from previous visits when we encountered high water or dry creek beds. It was the first time I saw such a great outpouring of water from the spring as we went higher into the canyon.
