5057 seemed like a good choice over doing Ord again. We started from Lost Goldmine in case we decided to return via Robbers Roost. Rising temps and time made for an easy decision to return the way we came once we got back to West Boulder Saddle.
The route has more side/spider trails than it used to, and most of them are cairned, making the trail tougher to follow. Things also look different now after the fire and all the growth following the winter rains.
The hike up is as I remembered. Work. Scenery is excellent though.
Descending was uneventful. The gnats were pesky the last couple miles, but fine if you keep moving.
Great to get back up on the ridgeline and the peak. Thanks Kelly. :)
