| partners | | Ginny and I took another short walk around the Neighborhood this time in the desert to the east. I haven’t hiked this area in over 10 years and a lot of new development is occurring. To the south of this area is a monstrosity of new homes, probably 6 per acre. Won’t be long before the Historical Rocking K Ranch is a distant memory. Guess I’m taking one last walk through this historical area. We visited the old earthen dam that was torn down years ago then on to the Rincon Valley Cemetery and headed back from there. The Red tailed hawk Javelina and some cattle still call this home.
This was a short 3.1 mile hike, still not sure I’m ready for longer hikes especially in this heat. I didn’t post a route because I don’t know the status of the land now, it use to be Rocking K Ranch then state trust land and then sold to some developers. |
