There were some shady areas on the boardwalk and I didn't feel uncomfortable at any time during this hike. I walked a new trail section which was a primitive loop on the East side of the main trail that went through a wooded area. There really wasn't much shade in this area as the trees and plants were low to the ground. On one of the areas where the boardwalk crossed a stream, I saw a bird with a long curved orange colored beak that I believe was in the Ibis family, but I'm not completely sure.
I also continued along the trail further South than the last time I was here, which included the Blair Pathway which led to some paths going to Baker Park. I didn't have time to explore the Baker park area but I would like to go back and do that sometime. |
