| no partners | | | Since I was low on gas exiting the AZ Strip to Fredonia, this bonus hike was started where the transmission lines cross Hack Canyon (near the mine). Doing this added eight and a half monotonous filler miles to a hike very similar, but worse than trudging through upper Hualapai Canyon on the enter/exit to Supai. Leave no trail unhiked I suppose, but likely one and done for this canyon. Very dry, lots of cowpies, and numerous cattle paths everywhere. One highlight was the few flowering Cali Redbuds. The drive through upper Hack Canyon's limestone hoodoos was better than the hike itself. |
