| no partners | | Graduation time back in Bahstyn. Had to get out for a few minutes in search of ticks and poison ivy. A remarkably dry airmass was still insufferably humid for this Arizona visitor and I got back home soaking wet, even after stopping into the quickiemart for an ice cold gatorjuice.
Public land back east is a checkerboardcluster. In 5 miles I went from the Cliff Grant Mgt Area into the Easton Town Forest, then the Oliver Ames Parker Reservation, before crossing a street and hitting the Flyaway/Long Pond Mgt Area. Some open source maps had trails marked that I wanted to make a loop with, but the short stretch of private property was aggressively marked as no tresspassing and I figured Uncle Chums in jail might put a damper on the weekend, so I retreated. 
Lucky decision though cause I found the postage-stamp sized revolutionary war cemetery that is tucked away between the backyards of two homes. Always cool history back in this part of the world while folks in Arizona were living behind piles of rocks.
Along the way spooked a couple of deer, including one that stuck around for a photo. A pfat-bike rider with a .22 on his back was out hunting turkey, as spring season had only 3 days to go. Didn't see any turkey until the next day running on the shoulder of the 495 on the way to the cape. ](https://hikearizona.com/dex2/images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif "Brick wall") |
