| no partners | | Quite possibly my first ever triplog labeled as a "run". For some inexplicable reason, I signed up for a 5k predawn city run. I've always hated running, but I did the math and figured even an hourlong brisk paced city hike would be a good start to my day.
I managed to turn my ankle so hard I couldn't put any pressure on it. This supports my theory that running is simply a dumb activity for people to engage in as it abuses the body and causes more injuries than other exercises do. (Causation or correlation? Meh!)
Anywhoooo, "walked it off" over the next 10 min or so and ended up with a nice little jog along the riverfront and through historic old town. Couldn't keep my eyes open through my first meeting at 9am. This crap is not for me.
I was the last of the participants who were pretending to run, but well ahead of those who classified themselves as "walkers" so my ego was properly rewarded. |
