| no partners | | On my way back to Tucson from Globe. Took a dirt road near the Ray Pit, a fair poppy bloom well mixed up with lupine. Next, took a dirt road out from Winkelman to an area I spotted last year. Again a pretty good bloom, maybe not as dense or as large poppies, fewer lupine, and some chicory and daisy blooms. Took pics at high sun angle so who knows. Plus I had a slow leak on a rear tire and I crashed and burned on a weekend backpack in the Santa Teresas so my knee was between orange and grapefruit size so getting around that mile was a slow hobble anyway. Hard to get the down low shots.
