Whale Peak, jeeping Canyon Sin Nombre, the Arroyos Diablo, Tapaido, visited some mud caves off the beaten path, then camped near Hollywood and vine. While I napped in the sun a little elf made off with my camera and went on the railroad tracks to the huge trestle and took pictures I know nothing of. Musta been fun.
I put off a 2 and half day backpack when the weather turned, it had a tough 7 mile section lowering a backpack down 50 foot dryfalls and scrambling down and I just didn't have the determination to do it. Instead backpacked up Indian canyon and spent a day in Deering, Bennis Bowl, upper Indian, camped by a small flowing stream.Dead and dried out bobcat in the old tin mine tunnel. Stormed on me on the way out. Camped near Font's Point. Weather made some great views. |
