| no partners | | | Went out exploring on the new fat tire bike today. Started off heading east on desert two track and made my way to the Estrella Mountain Regional Park Iron Ranger where a found a real life Park Ranger servicing the self pay station. We chatted for a while, he was a wealth of knowledge about historic sites within the park and some good stories of injured biker/hiker rescues. Headed south along the park boundary fence line to the Pedersen access road. Followed that west to the powerlines, then southeast along the powerline to the Pecos alignment. Turned due east and followed Pecos to the southwestern EMRP boundary fence. Next, south bound on 155th Ave to Germann. West on Germann to Rainbow Valley road. North on Rainbow Valley road then west along the alfalfa fields to the Maricopa Trail. Northeast on the Maricopa Trail back to FINS and then home. |
