| no partners | | Finally returned to hike the red loop here at the Franklin Parker Preserve, as it is called. I traversed the loop, marked with red painted squares on trees and posts, around old retired cranberry bogs, through some lowland pine forest, and a little cedar swamp, too. Nothing all that interesting, so I am happy I didn't hike this in summer. Ticks probably are not as bad I as feared, but other parasites may be.
This closes yearly for deer gun season, which begins tomorrow for 1 week. Also, I hope to return to the Gap next weekend, hence going today which was not all that nice. Warm, though, 58 degree. It was 35 or 36 a few days ago.
Might come back, might not. If I do, I may do one of the other trails, or simply walk the road. We'll see. |
