| no partners | | I stopped into the passport office to make sure my renewal was valid before heading off to check out a previously unvisited province in the Independent States of Lettyland. I got my book stamped at the private property gate and headed off from there.
What a treat. I know that these places are out there, and that there are more of them than most realize. How I haven't found time to explore more of them out on my own I'll never understand. Sore muscles, bloodied legs, arms and face, cold and waterlogged feet, and a near certainty of developing contact dermatitis. Oh well.
Pleasant sightings of more than two dozen deer, a rafter of holiday turdukens, javelina, a couple of coatis, a good number of raptors, and a former gray fox. Plus some native fishes that don't have a lot of habitat in these parts. |

Autumn Foliage Observation Moderate Sycamores are way done. Plenty of deep rusty crunch. Cottonwoods varied from done to still some green. But overall I'd say this part of the world turned a couple of weeks ago. |
