| no partners | | Ryan and Klaudia proposed this one and it fit the bill for an easy-ish Saturday. A few times there was a breeze that got borderline chilly, but mostly it was a little warm, fitting the theme for the last, oh, 5 years. Needless to say, not a drop of water was found. Thankfully, a similar amount of people were encountered. Did see a squadron of javvies.
We messed up on the exit by following the most established route, which dropped us out on the 88 earlier than desired.
Besides the insane number of cairns, there's been some unauthorized official trail work along the way. Not sure if it's mountain bikers or equestrians, but they've had actual tools out there clearing the path. It is what it is. Apparently not everybody appreciates undeveloped route-finding and exploration. |
