| no partners | | Drove in with a headache and nauseous. There is a god when I opened the console and there appeared Advil Migraine. Slug a couple down and motor on. Quite a few hunting camps; all gone when I drove out. Down the getting well defined use trail and nice light on the mixed color of trees, the sycamores were nice the cottonwoods a mix of green and gold. The ash trees were mostly bright yellow. The bottom had a bit more water than I thought it would, never a lot here but there was nice flow in spots.
Comedy hour when I decided to step into the edge of a pool to take a picture of the leaves covering the small stream. It didn't look deep but I post holed it, spun around and ended up sitting in about 6-8 inches of cold water. Theme of the day -- soggy butt. But no cameras were damaged. I wandered up and down the canyon a bit, lots of flood debris and downed trees. Gorgeous cliffs. When I was a much younger studette I would run and up and down sections of this canyon like it was nothing. I am grateful to still be able to boulder hop and enjoy the lesser visited places. |
