It was my birthday so wifey and I went for a hike.

Lots of slushy snow and mud on the first mile, so it made things a bit extra.

After the campsite at the saddle below Butterfly Peak it cleared up and the trail was in pretty good shape. Running water in one of the drainages before Novio Falls, too.

The falls were running. I collected water in the stream below the plane since I didn’t think I brought enough, but didn’t filter it.

Didn’t see a soul past the first mile, but passed several others above the saddle on the way out.
