| partners | | This was hike 2 of the day to check out an historical area. This is the site of the Great fire of 1910 burning about 3 million acres. Edward Pulaski led his 45 men, 2 miles upstream, to take refuge in a mine.
This was the only trail all week that we saw more than a handful of people. The entire trail follows next to the West Fork of Placer Creek and terminates at the abandoned mine. It is cut through thick old growth forest with informational signs throughout.
