Joe did this hike in 2001 and now it's getting a few followers. The views from Peak 4143 are great.
I hiked to road because I can. There was a black 4Runner that drove down and a few hunters on a can-am drove part way and parked.

I hiked out Hoolie Bacon trail and scared the cows down the trail. The trail is easy to follow and is used by the beeves. The trail is a little messed up by Tortilla Creek but okay again after that.

Once on Horse Ridge I hiked to the unmarked peak and went west to look around then I hiked back to peak 4143. Once on Peak 4143 I looked around got lured into the small canyon running north. The hike down was steep but ended up being worth it.

The drainage had water running, several pools, small falls and a turtle. The drainage ended by Little Hawk Spring which may just be the pool of water at the end. Interesting side trip that was easier than I though it may be.

From the spring area I followed what looked to be an old horse trail over to Peters trail. On Peters trail I saw a group of 8 hikers. They hiked the road too and were just doing an out and back.
A fun loop in the Supes.
