We hiked in a handful of miles along the trail and then did some off trail trail exploration. We covered a lot of ground and observed the usual assortment of rock piles and prehistorically altered landscapes.

We were the only vehicle at the trailhead when we arrived and the only vehicle when we left. We did not see anyone else along the trail. The trail is in great shape and there is a nice bloom of poppies and other desert flowers/weeds along the trail for the first couple of miles. It was really nice to get back to this trail and this trailhead.

Moderate +, nice stretches of poppies and et al. along the first couple miles of the trail, they picked up again after mile four.
