| no partners | | Early workout hike, started with just enough light to not need a lamp. Up Lost Ranch Mine, which had a pleasant breeze at times. The Lost trails tend to be stagnant most of the time, so a rare breeze is always nice. Felt kind of sluggish on the way up, but I still reached National in an hour, so my pace was pretty normal for me.
East on National to Goat Hill. Great breeze along National. Very hazy/dusty, but temps were reasonable. Retraced my steps back down. I always feel like Lost Ranch Mine is the easiest of the Loat trails to descend. Parking lot was full/overflowing when I finished. Some clown was leaning against the bumper of my truck while tying his shoes, so I irritably told him “that is not a bench” as I was walking up. He jumped away pretty quickly. I don’t patience for that nonsense—if it’s not yours, don’t touch it. |
