| no partners | | Drove up to Snow Flat after work to check out the area below Snow Flat lake. To my surprise, there was a nice trail heading down creek. I got to the end of the trail, then dropped into the creek bottom to look for waterfalls. I soon gave up, as the vegetation was too thick, and the country was getting rough. I scrambled up to a rocky perch to catch some sunset pics, then turned back. Had a sandwich at Snow Flat before driving home in the dark. On the way down, a black bear walked across the road in front of me near the Turkey Flat cabins. I swung around on a side road, hoping to catch a picture of it. I saw the bear run through the woods, but he was soon out of view, so no photo. Another great hike! |
