| partners | | Decided on this for a spur of the moment holiday trip. Thanks to those that went and logged before.
We camped up top Friday night and descended in the morning. My sister and her husband came along with a friend of mine.
Made horrible time downstream due to "prettiness" and jumping opportunites.
Saw a large otter that did not see us until he was almost under my feet. I just kept saying "Otter. Otter. Otter," not realizing I had a camera around my neck. I clicked the camera a few times on God knows what setting and he finally heard me and detoured 10 feet away.
Made it down to the Hanging Gardens and chilled for a bit then turned around.
Backtracking was fast, scrambling back up topside was slow.
Great Hike. No rain.
Wouldn't know it was hot back home.
Road in is getting less 2wd friendly even at 12 lbs psi. |
