Mountain was pretty full in the campgrounds but we found a secluded place all our own. Woke up each morning in the cloud but it cleared up around noon. The overcast sky made for nice photo colors on the ground. Sunday morning we woke and began hiking 307. Only ran into one family camped near the old mill site and one family near the falls. We all brough our ponchos and we needed them near the falls where we dropped below the clouds and into the rain. We began to get disapointed since we could hear the falls but visibility was down to 40ft. A short wait cleared out the clouds and we were able to see the falls. We ate lunch and started the hike out taking more water and mushroom pics along the way. After a rest back at camp, Steve and I hiked out on Jesus Babcock trail for some sunset pics. |
