I liked the numbered posts on the first half of this trail for 2 reasons. One they pinpoint items in the trail description and two you can count down the distance on your return trip. The views into the canyon are many. The second half of the trail is through the pine forest but the view at Widforss Point is your final reward. I did see at least one kaibab squirrel but I wasn't quick enough to get a photo.
