Parked in a wide spot along 89A and utilized my Red Rock Pass instead to paying the $7 at Call O' The Canyon. Ended up getting off trail at one of the switchbacks and attempted to bushwhack up slope, which turned out to be a big mistake. I probably wouldn't have taken route except that I saw a cairn and decided I MUST be going the right way...wrong! Of course, if I would have just backtracked (or brought one of my TWO Sedona trails maps), I would have saved myself about 45 minutes of senseless punishment. I ended up back on the trail about where I left it. Made it to the top without getting rained on.
