Spent my Spring Break at Havasupai Falls! Four days camping with my buddy and swimming at four different falls! Hiked in full pack on day one and hiked down to Beaver and Mooney falls on day two. Just swam mostly on day 3 and back out on day 4! Fun rock climbing down to Mooney Falls and we hiked past Beaver to the border with Grand Canyon National Park!
One of the most beautifull things I have ever seen, rivals even Yosemite in the falls catergory!

Took a friend here that I am trying to get into hiking and wanted to start her off with low difficulty. Also good chance to test/break in my new hiking boots! We did this in the evening heading back the same way, no loop. Beautiful sunset though!

Beautiful day hike on overcast December day! Did this hike in conjunction with Devils bridge hike. Snowed on us for about half the time, lining the canyon with white, was absolutely gorgeous! Saw a few young Javelina which was a little nerve racking wondering where the rest of the larger ones where. We scrambled up the side and onto Vultee Arch which was slick from snow so be careful. Overall a good first experience in Sedona!

Quick little hike that we did same afternoon as Vultee Arch. Well worth short hike to get some amazing pictures on this beautiful arch! We took some great pics with snow swirling around us!

Since you have to take Pemberton trail back for .8 mi makes this total loop 4.2 miles. Still nothing difficult here but nice walk with buddy and his dog. Saw some lizards and two people on horseback.

Since I moved to Arizona in 2004 I said I would hike Camelback. Finally I got around to doing it! Fun local hike with some great views of the valley!

What an adventure!! Missed a sign somewhere and ended up going a mile or so down the Highline Trail in the oposite direction of the Horton Spring. Ended up heading back and getting to see the beautifull spring. This is a great trail that curls along with the Horton Creek. Lots of wildlife, I even had my first rattler experience! Stepped no more than 6 inches from a small rattler and was so startled I jumped back and ran about 10 feet in the bushes and circled around, didn't even think to snap a picture till later! Though it ended up being longer than planned (due to my great navigation skills) it was a pleasant hike and saw many people on the trail, including 4 horseriders.

HOT HOT HOT!! Having already made plans to hike this peak I decided to ignore the 102 degree heat and give it a go. This would be a beautiful and fun trail if it didn't feel like you were on the surface of the sun! Being a recently transplanted New Englander I am not built for this! Still had a good time but needed to push to make it to peak. Got some great picks though and I would recommend for cooler days!

Though I don't completely understand why this is on HAZ it was a fun trip. It is basically a couple of ruins out behind a museum not a hike but still pretty neat. There are other ruins in the area too but they will not let you leave the first compound to see them. I had very little previous knowledge of Native American life out here in AZ but was amazed by how they managed to survive in such a harsh climate, even engineering canals for water! Overall a good day trip which we combined with visiting the WWII POW camp in Florence.

A really fun afternoon hike for my first triplog! I ended up wandering off the main path and had to scramble up some loose rocks but overall was a nice little hike. A couple of different lookouts that give a great view of the north valley and you can even see the big buildings of downtown Phoenix a ways off! Did this hike and the circumfrence trail in the same afternoon. A good workout if you don't want to travel far and only have a few hours.

I did this loop right after coming down from the summit trail. Not the most to see but a good little stroll. Mostly flat and did see some lizards and birds. Also side trails that lead to a couple of smaller outlooks are fun to check out!
