Ended up heading back and getting to see the beautifull spring. This is a great trail that curls along with the Horton Creek. Lots of wildlife, I even had my first rattler experience! Stepped no more than 6 inches from a small rattler and was so startled I jumped back and ran about 10 feet in the bushes and circled around, didn't even think to snap a picture till later! Though it ended up being longer than planned (due to my great navigation skills) it was a pleasant hike and saw many people on the trail, including 4 horseriders. |
