My 4 legged friend and I started this one from the Williamson Valley Trailhead. I love to visit ruins, and this jaunt provided that opportunity. 2 dear crossed the path in front of us before we went through the 2nd gate. :) We encountered a few mountain bikers and 3 folks on horses. Otherwise it was a quiet trail.

What a lovely day. The weather was perfect! There is no trail here but it's pretty easy to figure out the direction to head. Some boulder hopping is required, but nothing difficult.

What a fun hike. This trail climbed pretty steadily. There were places where the angle seemed quite steep climbing up. Yet, heading down, the angles did not seem as steep.

This hike was the last minute alternative to a way to crowded trip to West Fork of Oak Creek. What a blessing it turned out to be. This was a beautiful hike on a peaceful path winding along the dry creek, through arches of colorful fall trees backed by cliffs of red rock walls. I can not put to words the experience of this hike.

This is a great little hike. It was a pleasant stroll on the popular Treasure Loop trail. The detour up to the Praying Hands allowed for seclusion and some exercise. It was not a very long hike, but it was enjoyable. All in all, it made for a nice trip and even tired my dog out!

Wow! This was a nice, yet very short, hike. It was a great addition to a day on the Bell Trail. Sacred Mountain is strewn with bits and pieces of pottery. The north eastern side was home to former structures of a bunker style as stated in the description. Views surround this ruin from all sides. On this particular day, the wind was blowing like crazy across the top of the incredibly quiet Sacred Mountain.

This hike was lovely as depicted in the photos and descibed in the logs. It felt very secluded. The water was crisp and clear. It sprinkled a bit which simply added to the beauty.

A big thanks to AZHikr4444. This trail was well described. It was much more of a climb than the Horton trail. The Horton trail is certainly the more colorful and lush portion of the journey. Surprisingly, most of the people encountered on this trip were on the Derrick trail. All in all, this trail made for a beautiful day.

This is a beautiful area. We did not find the access point written up in the description, however the trail can be accessed from various other trailheads. I will definitely revisit Mount Lemmon. Wilderness of the Rocks is well named.

I've been down this trail a few times. This hike was a last minute, rewarding choice. Fossil Creek is such a beautiful and lush area! No wonder it seems to be increasing in activity each time I've revisited the area. Several people were headed out as we headed in, so the creek itself was not too busy. This trip provides some decent work for the quads as well as a beautiful destination. All in all a lovely trip!

I would like to share one thought ... young children will certainly enjoy romping in the water and can get tired little legs while playing. This could lead to a difficult climb out and the need for extra patience from loving parents. Please consider the climb out before deciding whether this is the right hike for inexperienced children.
