Run from Cholla/24th st TH west on the 100 through North Mt Park until it dead ends at 7th Ave. Took the 60 trail to loop back to the 100 and home. The 60 was tough going since this is basically two washouts with a connecting trail. Lots of rocks due to the recent rain.

Second day at Chiricahua. Due to the snow, the hikers shuttle was not going to run until 10:30, so we decided to hike in from the visitor's center. We were advised to avoid the back section of Ed Riggs and Mushroom trial as well as the Heart of Rocks due to snow and ice. So we played it safe and took the Lower Rhyolite to the Upper Ryolite trail and explored Echo Canyon and most of the Hailstone trail before back tracking to the visitor center. The snow covering the lower sections of the canyon and the rock formation made this a hike to remember.

Hiked this with the family -- 2 yr old in the pack + 7 yr old hiking. Well marked, but you definitely have to watch for the trail signs because of all the ATV off-shoots. For those looking for a shorter route, the North Boulders loop is the gem of the two loops and was too narrow for ATVs making it the clear winner over the South Boulders loop.

Went to the Devil's Bridge hike in the AM with the family. The trip down the forrest road in the minivan was a bit touch 'n go, but worth it. Very cool natural arch at the end of the trail. Once again, the 30lb kid cargo made it a good workout.

First time at Cave Creek park. Ran the Go John trail. This is a great running trail -- very little lose rocks, well cut trail about 2'-4' most of the way, good views, and nice elevation changes. I'll be back on this one.
