We hiked up Ranger Trail to Goat Hill then to National.
Went to National and planned to hike Bajada back but went on San Juan road back to mile marker 1.0 and home.

Beautiful views. National trails seems to go on forever to the west. A little slippery gravel in some spots. :y:
Mileage is base on pedometer and guessed at total AEG.

I went to the Thunderhill trail head off of chandler and 17th ave.
I did see many new trails that were cut on the foothills at this trail head.
I took the mining trail up to the national trail. This was steep !
I did not take the trail that was listed in the hiking description it is also a steep trail that comes out of the wash but I was confusted and the mining trail looked more prominent so I took that.
I looked for the national trail lasso loop junction to take me back down to the lost camp.
I could not find it. I think I will visit the camp next time and take the trail up to national to see where it comes out at. I did go west on the national trail for atleast 1.5 miles and turned around and went down the mining trail that I came up on. I did see mine shafts. I am suprised there are no signs with warnings because many people could be tempted to check these out and they are dangerous. This was the first time I did the national trail west and it is beautiful. The wildflowers are coming up. I see many more yellow bells.

I hope the wild flowers pop next week.

I did the Alta trail from West to East. Better this way since the west end of this trail is rough and going down west end is hard due to broken up trail conditions. I rather climb steep than go down steep. The east end of this trail with switchbacks is in much better shape and is better for downward hiking. I did the strenous climb and came down the east trail. Starting to see some wild flowers see many yellow cups some pink were spotted. I then crossed San Jaun and did part of the bajada trail and linked up to the national trail back to my car at San Juan trail head.

I took the San Gabriel Ridge to the Guadalupe Ridge. I went all the way to Eagles Pass and then back to Hidden Valley via the National Trail. I climbed up to the Guadalupe Ridge Line and I took San Gabriel Canyon back down to Desert Classic. The San Gabriel Canyon is becoming more treacherous to climb down. Some people may not be bothered by it but I plan on only going up this trail from now on. :scared: Note: I did slighly twist my ankle so coming down this trail was harder than usual.

It was raining initially but was desperate to hike so I just took a poncho. I started off at the Pima Canyon Trail head went down the road about a mile and went to the wash trail off of the main dirt road. This trail is pretty cool many interesting rock formations to see and I did see a few Petroglyphs too. The rain stopped so I continued on with the hike. I went in as far as I could into the canyon and then I climbed on the boulders up to the Guadalupe Ridgeline. I then went down to Hidden Valley, visisted the natural bridge and then took the national trail back to Pima Trail Head. :)

I took the Geronimo trail up to Beauna Vista lookout. I then took the national trail and on to the Eagles Pass. I then went on the Guadalupe Ridge Line down to hidden valley past the bathroom sized boulders. I am like Guadalupe Ridge trail more and more even though there is a lot of boulder hopping on this this trail it is nice and secluded only saw 1 person. It is away from mountain bikers and the views are great. I went through hidden valley and then down the mormon trail. Note Geronomo trail can be found at end of 21st pl end of culdesac beats going to 20th street behind the houses. First time up Geronomo trail liked the seclusion. :y:

I hike up the Corona Deloma East trail. I know the trail dex state this is 1.35 miles but my calculations and I know my pedometer might be slighly incurrate states roughly 1.9 miles up to the highest point overlooking eagle pass. There is more mileage going down to Beauna Vista. From my Car to Beuna Vista I logged approximately 3.93 miles. I tested my pedo meter on other trails and it seems pretty accuray might be off by a couple of 10'ths of a mile gut give s decent gage to the mileage I am walking. :?

Anyway tool Corna De Loma Back down to desert flow. Much grass is growing all over.

I logged my total milage as 8.00 mile for warpaint trailhead roundtrip on the Corna De Loma Loop. This is a good workout.

Joe is right I would not want to hike down the Corona De Loma East Trail due to steepness and loose rocks. :o

Summary
San Gabriel Canyon
Guadalupe Ridgline.
Corno De Loma East (short stint)
National to hidden valley
Guadalupe Ridgeline
San Gabriel Ridge.

I hiked up San Gabriel Canyon and took Guadalupe Ridge Line all the way to Beauna Vista. There were many boulders to climb. There was only one spot I did not think I could get past but found an alternate way up the rocks a little to the left of the cairn markings.
I took the Guadalupe Ridge Line to national trail junction near Beauna Vista. I took the national trail back to Hidden Valley. Between the two slides after window rock and before the eastern slide I took the path up to Guadalupe Ridge Line. I took this ridge line back to San Gabriel Ridge Line which connects the Guadalupe Ridgline back to San Gabriel trail head. Estimate 9.5 miles based on my pedometer watch. Note: the watch was not recording for roughly 20 minutes of this hike so mileage could be greater than 9.5 more like 10.3 miles. I estimate AEG since San Gabriel canyon is 800 and Beauna Vista to Hidden valley is recorded at 850 and update and down ridgline I would say to be safe 1800 feet most likely more.

This was a good hike note sure what to call it so San Gabriel Ridge Beauna Vista Loop. :)

I took this trail Corona de Loma East. I took the usual path way from the warpaint trail head. Once I hit the post #46 I took a right. When I hit the wash I took the wash down to the connected trail I traveled roughly .3 miles before I found the trail hear. There were mountain bikers and they said the trail is called Eagle pass or the old goat trail they never hear of the Corona De Loma- East but does not matter. I climbed this trail and it was a good ways up I too the Corona de Loma West trail back down. Pace must be getting better was roughly from car door round trip took me 3 hours and 40 minutes :? :)

I hiked this trail finally. I went war paint trail head through the bajada and up the corona De Loma. I loved hiking into eagles pass. I went to the Beauna Vista trail head ate lunch and then came back.
I will do this again. I took 4 hours total. I am a little slower on the decents since I do not want to injur my self. Great trail.

I went to San Gabriel Rd parked. I took the Desert Classic trail to Guadalupe Ridge by the power lines. I hiked up the Guadalupe Ridge to San Gabriel canyon back down to Desert Classic. This is after it rained all week. All in all the trails were in good shape. San Gabriel seemed a little washed out though so it was steeper than usual coming down the trail. ;)

I went up through Beverly Canyon South and up the Guadalupe Rudge Line. This is my second time on this Ridge Line. I went down to Hidden Valley. I went to the other wash that parallel's to Hidden Valley where the Natural Bridge is. I hiked all the way to end of trail where wash drops off into what I believe would be Pima but did not want to grapple down the rocks. I went back through Hidden Valley and up to Fat Man's Pass. From there I climbed up to Guadalupe Ridge Line to check it out the trail past the bathroom boulders. Man this is a Rocky trail. I went back down to hidden Valley and took the National trail back down to Pima. Estimate is 9 miles since I climbed around in Hidden Valley and went to the National Bridge Wash etc. Check out this wash it is cool and not well known. You can access it off the Hidden Valley National trail junction. You would veer left in a wash right before you get to the natural tunnel. You can also take the path after the spaceship rock once through the natural tunnel. ;)
