Cousin Wendy who I did this and our trip to France. We are first cousins. Her dad was my dad's best man way back in 1952. Wendy said as we were booking our European trip that it would be a trip of a lifetime. I had been to Europe a couple times, including 50 years ago when I traveled for nearly a month visiting 7 countries, so I somewhat pooh-poohed the "lifetime" part. BUT, I was wrong, it was indeed a trip of a lifetime; mostly because we got to meet our 8th cousins. We have yet to find any other Romains in our line either in France or that emigrated to the USA so it makes that relationship more like family.
